Janie Rothfield and Allan Carr have been playing their unique fusion of four decades American Old Time and Celtic Music.
Janie Rothfield regularly toures with various projects in Europe. Last duo with Allan Carr end 2025/26.
acoustic roots organized and accompanied the 7-day tour throughout Germany. In January 2026 there were also 2 shows with the new quartet "THE YES", which was successfully presented in the showcases at the Folk-Expo "Your Roots Are Showing" in Ireland.We are already engaged in long-term planning for 2027 and 2028, as soon as something becomes concrete, we will inform here.
About the Duo:
•Janie Rothfield (USA): The award-winning Fiddlerin and Clawhammer-Banjo player is known for their distinctive groove and their masterful own compositions. She is an internationally recognized lecturer and a firm size in the Roots music scene (including projects such as The JAES, Coracree).
•Allan Carr (SCO): The Scottish singer and guitarist comes from Aberdeen and is considered one of the best traditional singers in Scotland. Janies Fiddle-Virtuosity perfectly complements his resonant-lyrical voice and his sensitive but driving guitar play. Her program is varied, profound and spiced with the world-famous stories of the American fidelerin and the warm-hearted humor of the Scottish singer.
