After she moved to Germany, she quickly established herself in the local live scene. Whether in intimate bars, during spontaneous jam sessions or on small art stages – Morgika captivates the audience primarily through her minimalist and thus all the more powerful arrangements. She usually accompanies her expressive vocals only with an acoustic guitar, which gives her songs a vulnerable but certain intimacy.

Their music is not a sterile pop product, but the reflection of an eventful life. In her self-written plays, Morgika deals with profound personal and social issues. She gives voice to the feelings and challenges of her life as a refugee and is not afraid to shed light on the dark facets of humanity: love and death, religion, alcohol and existence on the margins of society are reflected in her texts.

In addition to her work as a solo artist, Morgika is a staple and supporter in the musician community. She regularly collaborates with other artists and formations of the scene – including acts such as Capt’n Scum, Sherman Potatoe, Wooden Creek or the Wasted rascals. Morgika proves that it doesn’t take much to tell a big story: just a guitar, a voice and the pure truth.
