The JAMuary in Hofgeismar is a multi-day music event primarily aimed at lovers of Old-Time Music, Bluegrass and Folk directed.
It traditionally takes place on the first weekend of January (Thursday to Sunday) in the Evangelical Academy Hofgeismar It is not so much a classic festival with a fixed stage programme, but rather an interactive camp for musicians.

Jamsessions: The heart of the event. Musicians of different levels come together to make music together in a relaxed atmosphere.
Self-organized workshops: Participants often pass on their knowledge to each other. It is about instruments such as banjo, fiddle, guitar or mandolin as well as special playing techniques and vocals.
Colorful evenings / concerts: In the evening, the participants organize a musical program in the large hall. The level was really considerable at the last JAMuary.
Community Focus: The event is known for its family atmosphere. It is about networking within the scene and experiencing handmade music together.
Location: The Evangelical Academy offers the right setting for this with accommodation and food, which reinforces the "camp feeling". Full catering from morning to evening, good hotel standard with many single rooms, many seminar rooms for workshops and jam sessions. Modern architecture in a historical atmosphere. Perfect for winter and the JAMuary.
Internationality: At the 5th JAMuary in early 2026 125 musicians from 7 nations (Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, France, USA)
