The Boy are back in Town!

After his cervical break while sleepwalking (no joke) and three months of forced break John Showman is back in the realm of the living and can hardly wait to go back on tour in Europe.
John Showman (Fiddle) and Chris Coole (Banjo) are among the most outstanding artists on the North American roots scene.
As masters of their craft, they combine the raw energy of traditional American dance music with virtuosic interplay and a unique, modern sound aesthetic. They combine elements of oldtime, bluegrass, country and folk into their unmistakable modern original material.

The Cool Kids of Appalachian Stringband Music

We are currently working on this, Up Jumped Trouble in 2027 for the very first time to Europe – either in May (from mid to late May) or in July (beginning to mid July). Let us know as soon as possible if there is interest in a show.

Margo McSweeny is a 16-year-old prodigy on both the banjo and the fiddle, regularly winning tapes at dance competitions. The same goes for Raislin Brabson and Jared Boyd on their instruments fiddle and guitar at several prestigious music competitions. With Ben Noblitt, a very versatile and iconic bass player joins the band for the tour.

We are Up Jumped Trouble, an oldtime string band from the southwest of Virginia that specializes in oldtime, bluegrass and country swing. From energetic flatfoot dancing music to relaxed waltzes and sad country ballads, we offer a good time for every music listener and occasion!

Also on tour from mid to late May 2027 is the fabulous folk trio GOOD GUY HANK, which combines the essence of bluegrass and country with a modern, soulful touch. At the heart of her music are Pepita Emerichs’ virtuosic and driving fiddle and mandolin playing, Donny McElligot’s character-strong lead singing and impressive three-part harmony singing together with bassist Theo Barnard. The Wanton String Band plays unrestrained, folk-inspired psychedelic dance music. Their ecstatic, contagious approach to American old-time music has made audiences dance on tables and hang out at the bar since its inception in 2016. Traditionally rooted and at the same time ultra-modern is the outrageously danceable sound of The Wanton String Band.

5-piece band tour
10 years of STEREO NAKED (DE)

Celebrating 10 years of band history STEREO NAKED The duo Julia Zech (vocals/banjo) and Pierce Black (vocals/bass) reunite with Pepita Emerichs (mandolin/fiddle/vocals) and Theo Barnard (guitar/vocals) – both from the duo Rain of Animals – as well as the fiddler Joon Laukamp (vocals/fiddle). This pan-European supergroup has been on stage together at some of the biggest Americana festivals in the past, for example in La Roche in France. Watch and listen to folk music that combines experiences from different styles and the highest level of musical skill.

GEORGE & HIS NEW HEARTACHES (USA/AUS/DE)

The Perfect Vintage Western Swing GEORGE & HIS NEW HEARTACHES is well received on the stages and also sets some swing dance events in motion.

The band is as international as their success. Already this year they travelled in Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK and twice on tour in southern and western Germany. Next year it will even go on an invitation to the USA on tour.
